• 4 oz. of Almond Oil
• 3 oz. of Lard (I would substitute with coconut oil)
• 1 oz. of Spermaceti (or chopped or shaved candlewax, or Candelilla Wax)
• Onion juice
• Rosewater

1. Melt all of the ingredients together in a pot or double boiler.
2. Stir until it cools.
3. Add a teaspoon of rosewater.
4. Let cool, then store.
5. Apply once a day to the forehead, face, and neck before bed.

She was a courtesan in Paris, and a regular at Versailles. It is said that she met a man who offered her a recipe that would keep her beautiful for the rest of her life. Louis XIV called her "the marvel of his reign", and men in their twenties often called upon her even though she could have been their grandmother.
